Dr. Andrew Rah concludes a 40-year career dedicated to advancing orthopedic care.
It is with a mixture of gratitude and nostalgia that I write this letter to announce my retirement from medical practice with COS. I have been in medical practice since 1997 when I completed my fellowship in spine surgery. I was living and practicing in the South Bay where my wife, Mina and I raised our 3 young boys.
In 2008, Mina and I decided to move to the West Valley. In 2010, 1 met with Dr. Fields at the suggestion of my father’s ENT physician, Dr. Vener who heard the Dr. Fields was looking to grow the practice.
After meeting Dr. Fields, I began my journey with COS. It seems like yesterday but here I am in my early 60s, closing this chapter and embracing the next phase of life. Looking back, I am grateful to my colleagues and especially the staff who have put up with me over the years. The bonds I have formed with some of you will remain close in my heart and mind.
While I will miss the daily interactions and the fulfillment that comes with caring for others, I am comforted by the knowledge that the practice will continue to thrive in capable hands. As I move forward, I look forward to spending more time with family, pursuing personal passions, and of course traveling more.
Thank you all for your support, friendship, and trust over the years. I am forever grateful for the privilege of being a part of COS. I wish you all continued health, happiness, and peace.
With warmest regards and heartfelt gratitude.
