Dr. Matthew Gullickson earned his Bachelor of Arts in pre-medicine studies at Augustana College in Rock Island, Illinois. He received his medical degree from Loyola University Stritch School of Medicine in Maywood, Illinois. He then completed his orthopedic surgery residency at Loyola University Medical Center.
He has been in private practice in South Carolina since completion of his training.
Dr. Gullickson is a member of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons, the North Carolina Medical Society, and is a licensed surgeon in both North and South Carolina. He is also the team physician for Charlotte Christian School.
Dr. Gullickson specializes in arthroscopic surgery of the shoulders and knees, joint replacement surgery, and fracture care. He loves talking to his patients and helping them relieve pain and restore function in their lives.
Dr. Gullickson is married and has four boys, including twins. In his spare time, he enjoys basketball, golf, and movies.
