Dr. Walter Beaver is a native of Charlotte and a member of the physician staff at OrthoCarolina’s Randolph Road location. He specializes in hip and knee surgery.
Dr. Beaver received a Bachelor of Science and a Master of Science in biochemistry from North Carolina State University in Raleigh. He obtained his medical degree from the University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill. Dr. Beaver completed his surgical internship at Yale University at the New Haven Hospital, where he was voted Intern of the Year. He completed his orthopedic residency through Cornell Medical Center at The Hospital for Special Surgery in New York City.
Dr. Beaver is a member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, the North Carolina Medical Society, the American Medical Society, the Mecklenburg Medical Society, the North Carolina Orthopaedic Association, the Southern Orthopaedic Association and the North American Extracorporeal Shock Wave Therapy (ESWT) Society.
