Patricia L. McHale, MD
Dr. McHale is an orthopedic surgeon and a member of the Gastonia physician staff of OrthoCarolina. Dr. McHale wanted to be a doctor for as long as she can remember. She is inspired by the fact that orthopedic medicine allows her to help patients of all ages get back to the activities and lifestyles that they once enjoyed. A native of Philadelphia, Dr. McHale later moved to California, where she received her bachelor’s degree from the University of California in San Diego. She later obtained her medical degree from Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, TX. After medical school, Dr. McHale completed her residency in orthopedic surgery at the University of California - Irvine, and was awarded a fellowship in the sports medicine department of orthopedic surgery at Baylor College of Medicine. Dr. McHale is board-certified by the American Board of Orthopedic Surgery, and is a member of the American Orthopaedic Society for Sports Medicine and the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgery.
