Dr. Kutner was forever moved when his brother was born with congenital anomalies of the hands and feet. He decided at a young age to become an orthopedic physician. He is fascinated with helping others and restoring them to a fully functional lifestyle.
Dr. Kutner grew up as the son of a chiropractor in Dunkirk, NY. After attending medical school at Duke University, he spent two years in general surgery in Pittsburgh and Rochester, returning to Pittsburgh to complete his orthopedic residency. He spent two years with the United States Army at Fort Polk, LA, before practicing in western New York for nine years. Dr. Kutner moved his practice to Mooresville, NC, in 1986.
His wife, Linda, is a lactation consultant who travels and teaches. His two grown sons, Andy and Adam, live in Seattle and Charlotte, respectively.
