Dr. Louis Fiore is a physiatrist who specializes in the non-operative management of spinal and musculoskeletal conditions, including use of diagnostic and therapeutic selective spinal injections and electrodiagnostics.

He earned his Bachelor's Degree in Sports Science at Long Island University in New York and then attended Ross University School of Medicine. He continued his training with an internship at East Carolina University and a residency in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at Johns Hopkins University. While at Johns Hopkins, he served as Chief Resident and was awarded the Outstanding Senior Resident Award. Following residency he received additional training in spinal injections at the Carolina Back Institute.

Dr. Fiore is an active member of the Physiatric Association of Spine, Sports and Occupational Rehabilitation, the International Spine Interventional Society, the American Academy of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, and the North Carolina Medical Society.

Dr. Fiore joined the Shelby office of OrthoCarolina in April of 2006.  As part of the OrthoCarolina Spine Center he has rapid access to and comprehensive support from spine surgeons, specialized therapists and musculoskeletal radiologists.
