Dr. Brigham has specialized in spine surgery since 1988. His area of expertise include scoliosis and adult deformity surgery, minimally invasive surgery and athletic spine injuries. He has been chief of the spine teaching service of the Carolinas Medical Center Orthopedic Residency since 1990. Dr. Brigham is a member of the Scoliosis Research Society, the Cervical Spine Research Society and the AOA. He also serves as a spine consultant to the NFL. A former decathlete, Dr. Brigham participated in the 1972 and 1976 Olympic Trials and trained for the 1980 Olympics.
