Dr. Majors earned his bachelor’s degree from Clemson University and his medical degree at the Medical College of Georgia, where he also completed his internship in general surgery and residency in orthopedic surgery.
He received a Sports Medicine Fellowship at Resurgens in Atlanta, GA, where he worked with the Atlanta Falcons football program and the Georgia Tech athletic programs. Dr. Majors then joined the Sports Medicine Center at Charlotte Orthopedic Specialists (now OrthoCarolina), where he specializes in sports medicine surgery of the knee and shoulder.
Dr. Majors has published articles on sports medicine of the knee and shoulder. He also holds design patents for surgical instruments used in knee and shoulder surgery. Board-certified in orthopedic surgery, he is a member of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons, American Orthopedic Society for Sports Medicine, Arthroscopy Association of North America, American Society for Laser Medicine and Surgery and the North Carolina Orthopaedic Association.
Currently a sports medicine consultant for the NFL, Dr. Majors is also the team physician for multiple area high schools and serves on the board of the Charlotte Touchdown Club. An athlete himself, he enjoys participating in almost any type of sports activity, including football, basketball, water-skiing, tennis and weight-lifting.
Dr. Majors believes that patients should be well-informed of all treatment options and encouraged to take an active role in the decision-making process.
