FOOT & ANKLE FELLOWSHIPS

Each year, the OrthoCarolina Foot & Ankle Institute offers a prestigious Foot & Ankle Fellowship featuring a full range of adult foot and ankle teaching opportunities. This includes, but is not limited to, adult reconstruction, arthritis, trauma, diabetes, dysvascular foot difficulties, sports injuries and rehabilitation issues related to the foot and ankle. We offer the full scope of operative and non-operative approaches to adult and adolescent foot and ankle problems. Amateurs and professional athletes alike seek foot and ankle care at the prominent OrthoCarolina Foot & Ankle Institute.

This Fellowship program requires independent thought and action, includes research and resident teaching at the Carolinas Medical Center Residency Program, and is supported by a well-staffed fellow's clinic. The fellowship originated in 1993 and over 20 physicians from around the world have trained in Charlotte. The present teaching staff and faculty includes Dr. Robert Anderson, Dr. Hodges Davis, Dr. Bruce Cohen and Dr. Carroll Jones.  Dr. Cohen serves as Fellowship Director.

Three fellowship positions are available for orthopedic surgeons who have completed an approved orthopedic residency-training program. Applications will only be accepted from physicians licensed to practice medicine in the United States.  Applications for the 2009-2010 fellowship year will be accepted through October 31, 2007. You can access the application by clicking here (you need to have Adobe Acrobat Reader installed to open the application).  The program will include participation in the national AOFAS match process beginning with the 2007 interviews.
