The average person can expect to sustain at least 2 fractures over the course of their life; the most common being in young children and the elderly. So what are the top 10 most common fractures?

-Clavicle or collarbone”most common of all fractures
-Wrist fractures”most common before age 75
-Hip fractures”most common after age 75
-Ribs
-Skull fractures”most common in auto accidents
Stress fractures are a result of overuse and most often occur in the weight-bearing lower legs. Stress fractures are most common in sports related injuries.
-Navicular or foot stress fracture”including the toes and the ball of the foot
-Tibia stress fracture”shin splints
-Ankle stress fracture
-Fibula or calf
-Femur bone

Trauma is defined as shock or injury to the body; this includes mental and physical injuries.
